Anything Goes Challenge

Hello everyone!  I really need to get better at posting the cards I make.  It's been such a long time since my last post.  I'm good at keeping up with Instagram, but not in a routine yet with posting photos on here.  Trying to work on that this year.  Anyway, Thetonstamps.com has an "Anything Goes" challenge going on now and here is the card I am entering.

I used the Fresh Cut Sunflowers stamp set and colored the flowers and leaves with Copic markers.  For the background, I heat embossed some of the sunflowers onto vellum.  I added glitter to the flowers and leaves and finished the card with some gold sequins.  Hope you enjoy and this inspires you to to some coloring!  Have a great day!

Fall cards

Here are some fall-ish cards I made in last couple weeks.  I love fall colors and love this time of year; the air is crisp and it's not too cold yet!

On this first card, I used stamps from Simonsaysstamp.com and colored them with Copic markers.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

For this next card, I used Ranger distress ink to create the background.  I die cut a bunch of leaves with dies from mftstamps.com and outlined the veins on the leaves with Copic markers and used a die for the sentiment.  Pretty quick and easy card!

And this next card is my favorite fall card so far.  I love the bright flowers against the brown background.  I used a Hero Arts stamp for the background, then colored these beautiful flower stamps from altenew.com in fall-ish colors with Copic markers.  I finished it off with a sentiment from wplus9.com and some enamel dots.  I hope you enjoyed these fall creations and are inspired to create some of your own!

Mother's Day cards

Hi crafters!  I started this post a few months ago; my pictures are not uploading from my phone anymore.  It's probably something so simple; I just haven't figured it out yet.  Anyway, here is a Mother's Day card I made months ago with the Wonderful Women stamp set and Wonderful Words dies from concordand9th.com.  The font on the dies and stamps is beautiful!!

For the card below, I stamped the flowers from the Doodle Buds set from wplus9.com and colored them with Copic markers.  The sentiment and "lovely" die is from the Concord and 9th sets.  I used green foil paper to cut the "lovely" word.  I finished the card off with some sequins from prettypinkposh.com.  Really quick coloring on this card!

Color Throwndown challenge

I decided to create a card for the #ctd379 challenge on colorthrowndownchallenge.blogspot.com.  I love the flower stamps from thetonstamps.com and coloring them is so relaxing.  I colored them with Copic markers and used sequins from prettypinkposh.com to give the card a little sparkle.  I used shiny gold cardstock for the "fabulous" die cut from thetonstamps.com.  I used the little strip of black cardstock to offset all the pink on this card.

Here are the Copic markers I used for the flowers and leaves:
I hope to make more cards tomorrow and will try to post more often.  Have a great night!

Funny Ladies

I love these stamps from the "Girlfriends" collection at Artimpressions.com.  I made a couple cards with them last weekend for the #dailymarker30day challenge.  I colored both with Copic markers and used either sequins from prettypinkposh.com or enamel dots to add that extra touch.

It's hard to tell from the photo, but I also added Glossy Accents to the wine.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

For this card, I cut out a couple hearts to match the background paper and added a little Wink of Stella to brighten them up a bit.  The sentiment on this card is from a mftstamps.com set.  Hope you enjoy both cards and can get some ideas from them!

Morning Glories

I was so happy to get this new Morning Glories stamp set from thetonstamps.com and was finally able to create a couple cards with it last weekend.  For this first card, I thought a light blue background with a little white around the main image would look nice.  I masked off the first morning glory and stamped the second over it; then masked the second one and stamped the third over both and used the same masks to add the leaves.  I used Copic markers to color the image and added the fabulous word die cut from foil paper.  (It actually is shinier than the picture shows.)  I finished off the card with a few sequins from prettypinkposh.com.

Here are the Copics I used:

For the second card, I wanted to try and color some pink morning glories.  I used the same stamping and masking technique to overlap the flowers and leaves.  After the flowers and leaves were all colored, I used a sentiment from averyelle.com and finished the card off with some sequins from prettypinkposh.com.

I'm sure I will get alot of use out of this stamp set.  The flowers are so pretty!
Hope you enjoy and have a great day!

Blue roses?

I'm not sure if there's such a thing as blue roses, but I wanted to try a blue combo for flowers.  It was freezing outside again today, so it was nice to have the day off and stay inside and color.  I colored these roses from Thetonstamps.com with Copic markers and the sentiment is from Averyelle.com.  I added a few sequins from prettypinkposh.com and the card is done.

Here are the Copic markers I used:
I think the blue is striking, even if blue roses don't exist.  I'll definitely be using another blue combo on future cards.  Hope it inspires you to do a little coloring.
